Alberta Building Code 2006 STANDATA

Alberta Building Code  STANDATA

Alberta Municipal Affairs and the Safety Codes Council (Council) are starting to develop the next editions of the Alberta Building Code and Alberta Fire Code. Currently, the 2006 editions of these codes are in force in Alberta.

The Alberta Fire Code and Alberta Building Code are based on the National Fire and Building Codes, which are developed by the National Research Council (NRC), but also include a number of Alberta-specific revisions.  The NRC published the 2010 National Building and Fire codes in November 2010. Information about technical changes included in these codes can be found on the NRC website through this link.
